Chibi Chawan Plum - Sculptural Matcha Bowl

A handmade ceramic matcha bowl designed for slow rituals, organic gestures and contemplative everyday moments.

The Chibi Chawan was imagined as a small ritual object - quiet, tactile and deeply functional.

Its integrated pouring spout allows for smooth matcha preparation and serving, while its compact organic form naturally invites slower gestures and intentional use.

Minimal yet expressive, the Chibi Chawan moves freely between:
– matcha preparation bowl
– tea ritual vessel
– tasting bowl
– sauce or condiment dish
– decorative ceramic object

Its reflective mineral surface and organic silhouette give the piece a calm atmospheric presence somewhere between functional ceramic and sculptural object.

Each bowl is individually shaped and glazed by hand in my studio in Portugal, making every piece unique and impossible to reproduce identically.
