A large ceramic serving platter shaped into a sculptural drape, with a deep Enzian blue glaze and soft milky reflections.

With Drapéro XL, the aperitif becomes the center of the table.

This large serving platter is shaped and draped by hand to create a fluid, organic and generous silhouette. It is both a functional piece for hosting and a sculptural object to place at the heart of the table.

Its deep Enzian blue glaze gives the piece an intense, luminous presence. Soft milky reflections move across the surface, creating subtle variations and giving the platter an almost liquid feeling.

The design was created for shared moments: one large donut-shaped area can hold hummus, tapenade, sauce or olives; a smaller area can be used for a second dip, condiments or small bites. The narrow grooves are perfect for olive oil, vinegar or small seasonings, while the open surface can hold crackers, raw vegetables, bread, cheese or anything made to be shared.

Drapéro XL instantly changes the mood of a table. It brings together food, texture and gesture around a generous, living object that is impossible to ignore.

Each Drapéro is shaped, draped and glazed individually in my studio in Portugal. Variations in shape, dimensions, glaze and reflections are part of its identity: no two Drapéros can ever be exactly the same.

USE SUGGESTIONS

Drapéro XL was designed for aperitif tables, summer dinners, mezze-style serving, wine nights, garden lunches and shared moments.

It works beautifully with hummus, olive oil, tapenade, olives, crackers, raw vegetables, bread, cheese, fruit or small bites.

When not in use, it can remain on a table, kitchen island or sideboard as a sculptural centerpiece.

Its deep blue tone pairs especially well with natural linen, warm wood, brushed brass, stone, white ceramics and Mediterranean-inspired interiors.

HANDMADE NOTE

Each Drapéro XL is shaped, draped and glazed by hand. Slight variations in shape, dimensions, color intensity, texture or glaze movement may appear.

These variations are not flaws: they are part of the beauty of handmade ceramics and make each piece truly unique.

CARE

Hand washing is recommended with a soft sponge and mild, non-abrasive soap.

Avoid abrasive products, thermal shock and prolonged soaking.

The glaze decides. I never do it the same way again.

HANDMADE DRAPED CERAMICS: THE VARIATIONS THAT MAKE EACH PIECE IRREPLACEABLE

I shape each piece by hand in my studio in Portugal. The draping, stroke by stroke, captures a movement in the clay. The glaze, meanwhile, reacts to the firing in a way that even I cannot fully control.

It is precisely this that guarantees that no one, anywhere, will have exactly the same piece.

The sculptural draping is Clay'Milie's recognizable visual signature.

Each fold, each relief is the result of a unique and unrepeatable gesture.

The variations in glaze, color, gloss, and gradation are unique to this firing process.

Does the piece really look as good as it does in the photo?

I’ve taken care to photograph each piece in lighting that’s as close to real life as possible. The dimensions are accurate, and you can see how the pieces look in real interiors in the gallery. If you’re not sure, do drop me a line on WhatsApp — I’ll get back to you within 24 hours.

What if the part is damaged upon delivery?

I prepare each parcel using reinforced packaging designed for ceramics. In the unlikely event of damage upon receipt, please contact me within 48 hours with photos, and I will find a solution.

Can I return my order?

One-off pieces are original creations that cannot be replicated. I encourage you to ask me any questions you may have before confirming your order — I’m available on WhatsApp to help you choose with confidence.
