Laguna was imagined as both a sculptural presence and a functional object: a piece to use, but also a piece to simply let live within an interior.

Made from speckled stoneware, this large organic form is covered with a crystalline glaze in deep blue-green and turquoise tones. During firing, subtle brown and mineral effects appear across the surface, like small crystallizations frozen into the material.

Its raw edges have been intentionally preserved to reveal the natural movement of the clay. They give the piece an almost geological character, somewhere between mineral fragment, sculptural bowl and interior landscape.

Laguna can be used as:

– a sculptural fruit bowl

– a decorative object

– a candle holder thanks to its integrated circular opening

Its shape, glaze reactions and firing process make this piece impossible to reproduce identically.
