Four medallions inspired by moss, earth and mineral landscapes

LIA 4 – Lychen is a handmade ceramic wall hanging composed of four organic stoneware medallions connected by elegant gold-tone metal rings. It is available in three sizes (S, M and L), as well as with two hanging options to suit different interiors.

This edition explores a natural and deeply mineral palette inspired by lichen-covered stones, forest moss, damp earth, bark and weathered landscapes.

Each medallion reveals its own color, texture and personality:

• a sage and mineral green glaze scattered with deep brown speckles;

• a soft creamy beige with warm, luminous reflections;

• a smoky green glaze shifting between moss, khaki, grey and deep forest tones;

• a warm ochre-brown glaze reminiscent of clay, bark and sun-warmed earth.

The medallions are made from Toffee stoneware, a naturally warm taupe clay that enriches the glazes and remains subtly visible around some of the edges.

Depending on the light and viewing angle, the colors may appear softer, greener, deeper or more mineral. Certain areas reveal translucent depths, darker speckles, contrasting edges and subtle effects created naturally during firing.

Together, the four medallions form a calm, balanced and deeply organic composition.

LIA 4 – Lychen was imagined as a vertical ceramic wall sculpture: discreet yet full of character, designed for interiors inspired by natural materials, earthy tones and unique handcrafted objects.

Three sizes are available:

Size S

• Overall dimensions: approximately 71 cm high × 12 cm wide

Size M

• Overall dimensions: approximately 84 × 19 cm with top hanging only

• or 90 × 19 cm with top and bottom hanging

• Overall dimensions: approximately 108 × 25 cm with top hanging only

• or 114 × 25 cm with top and bottom hanging

All versions include:

As every medallion is shaped entirely by hand, slight variations in dimensions may naturally occur.

Handmade Character

Each LIA wall hanging is individually shaped, glazed and assembled by hand.

The medallions are never mechanically reproduced. Their contours, thickness, movement and surface may therefore vary slightly from one piece to another.

The glazes used for Lychen are reactive and develop their own character during firing.

Depending on their position inside the kiln, the medallions may reveal more sage green, darker moss-like areas, warmer ochre tones, stronger speckles or more translucent mineral effects.

These variations are not flaws. They are an essential part of the handmade ceramic process and make every LIA wall hanging unique.

The photographs represent the overall atmosphere, colors and composition of the Lychen design. A made-to-order piece will remain faithful to this natural palette while possessing its own individual details.

Installation

LIA is supplied with one or two round gold-tone wall hanging discs, depending on the selected configuration. Versions with both a top and bottom hanging point help keep the wall hanging perfectly aligned, particularly in the Medium and Large sizes.

Always use a wall fixing suitable for the weight of the sculpture and for the type of wall on which it will be installed.

Its elegant vertical format is particularly suitable for:

• an entrance hall;

• a narrow wall;

• beside a mirror;

• between two windows;

• a bedroom;

• a hallway;

• a reading corner;

• a spa or wellness space;

• a nature-inspired interior.

It can be displayed on its own as a delicate sculptural focal point or combined with other ceramic wall pieces to create a more dramatic composition.

Styling Suggestions

LIA 4 – Lychen pairs beautifully with:

• warm white, beige or limewashed walls;

• natural linen;

• olive, moss and sage tones;

• light, warm or dark wood;

• travertine and raw stone;

• rattan and woven fibres;

• brushed brass;

• cream, taupe and sand-colored interiors;

• soft, warm lighting.

Natural or side lighting will beautifully reveal the depth of the green glazes, the darker speckles and the softly contrasting edges.

Care Instructions

For decorative wall use only.

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth.

Do not use abrasive products or chemical cleaners.

Handle each ceramic medallion carefully during installation.

Shipping

Your wall hanging will be carefully wrapped and securely packed to protect each ceramic medallion during transit.

For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes or carrier handling fees may be charged upon arrival. These fees are determined by the destination country and are not included in the product price.
