A sculptural wall composition made of four ceramic medallions, suspended on a gold structure, in a warm brown and mineral palette.

Lia Brown *4 is a modular wall composition designed to bring movement, texture and discreet architectural elegance to an interior.

It combines four handmade ceramic medallions with a brushed gold aluminum wall structure. The organic, slightly asymmetrical forms are suspended with gold rings, creating a soft visual rhythm between balance, lightness and sculptural presence.

Each element explores a different material atmosphere:

– a transparent glaze revealing lightly grogged beige clay

– a deep chestnut brown glaze with warm variations

– a Plum glaze blending taupe, brown and beige tones with delicate burgundy crystallized effects

– a darker mineral brown glaze enriched with caramel nuances and crystalline reflections

Together, these finishes create a rich dialogue between raw texture, earthy depth and luminous mineral reflections.

Lia Brown *4 sits somewhere between design object, wall sculpture and contemporary decorative composition. It brings relief, rhythm and a calm artistic presence without weighing down the space.

Each composition is made individually in my studio in Portugal. The medallions are shaped and glazed by hand, making every installation subtly different and impossible to reproduce identically.

Lia Brown *4 works especially well in warm, mineral or contemporary interiors: wood, linen, stone, limewash, neutral tones, natural materials, light walls or textured finishes.

It can be used alone as a main wall composition, or combined with other wall pieces to create a larger arrangement.

HANDMADE NOTE

Each medallion is shaped, glazed and assembled individually. The forms are organic, the surfaces react differently during firing, and the reflections can never be reproduced exactly.

Each Lia Brown *4 therefore has its own nuances, movement and visual balance.

HANDMADE DRAPED CERAMICS: THE VARIATIONS THAT MAKE EACH PIECE IRREPLACEABLE

I shape each piece by hand in my studio in Portugal. The draping, stroke by stroke, captures a movement in the clay. The glaze, meanwhile, reacts to the firing in a way that even I cannot fully control.

It is precisely this that guarantees that no one, anywhere, will have exactly the same piece.

The sculptural draping is Clay'Milie's recognizable visual signature.

Each fold, each relief is the result of a unique and unrepeatable gesture.

The variations in glaze, color, gloss, and gradation are unique to this firing process.

Does the piece really look as good as it does in the photo?

I’ve taken care to photograph each piece in lighting that’s as close to real life as possible. The dimensions are accurate, and you can see how the pieces look in real interiors in the gallery. If you’re not sure, do drop me a line on WhatsApp — I’ll get back to you within 24 hours.

What if the part is damaged upon delivery?

I prepare each parcel using reinforced packaging designed for ceramics. In the unlikely event of damage upon receipt, please contact me within 48 hours with photos, and I will find a solution.

Can I return my order?

One-off pieces are original creations that cannot be replicated. I encourage you to ask me any questions you may have before confirming your order — I’m available on WhatsApp to help you choose with confidence.
