Four medallions, one mineral harmony.

MIA Earthy is a ceramic wall hanging composed of four large medallions, each individually shaped and glazed by hand.

More generous in scale than the Lia collection, MIA stands out through its sculptural proportions, vertical presence and succession of textures, colours and reflections.

The Earthy version explores a warm, mineral palette inspired by earth, stone, sand, wood and beautifully patinated metallic surfaces.

The four medallions flow together through a gradient of cream, beige, brown and golden tones:

• luminous cream with crystalline effects;

• warm beige with subtle brown undertones;

• deep brown scattered with golden crystals;

• metallic brown with golden reflections.

The piece is made from Toffee stoneware, a naturally taupe clay whose warm colour brings even greater depth to the glazes.

Depending on the angle, the light and the time of day, some surfaces appear soft and mineral, while others reveal crystalline details, metallic reflections or more intense golden tones.

Each medallion has its own personality, while the composition remains beautifully balanced as a whole.

MIA Earthy was designed as a long, elegant and richly textured wall sculpture, bringing warmth and presence to a wall without overwhelming the space.

THE HANDMADE CHARACTER

Each MIA wall hanging is individually shaped, glazed and assembled by hand.

The medallions are never mechanically reproduced. Their contours, movement, thickness and surface may therefore vary slightly from one piece to another.

The glazes used for Earthy are particularly reactive.

Depending on the position of each medallion inside the kiln and the natural reactions of the glaze during firing, some pieces may reveal more crystalline details, deeper shades of brown, softer creamy areas or more pronounced metallic and golden reflections.

These variations are not imperfections. They are an integral part of the handmade process and make every MIA wall hanging unique.

The photographs show the overall spirit, colours and composition of the Earthy design. A made-to-order version will remain true to this atmosphere while having its own individual details.

INSTALLATION

MIA comes with a round gold-tone metal wall fitting for installation.

It is important to use appropriate wall hardware for the weight of the sculpture and the type of wall on which it will be displayed.

Thanks to its long, narrow proportions, MIA – Earthy works particularly beautifully:

• on a narrow wall;

• between two windows;

• in an entryway;

• beside a mirror;

• in a bedroom;

• along a hallway;

• within a vertical architectural niche;

• above a low cabinet or console.

It can be displayed on its own as a focal piece or combined with other wall sculptures to create a larger, more dramatic composition.

STYLING SUGGESTIONS

MIA – Earthy pairs particularly beautifully with:

• cream, beige and warm white walls;

• natural linen;

• taupe and sandy interiors;

• warm or dark woods;

• travertine and natural stone;

• brushed brass;

Natural daylight or directional lighting will particularly enhance the crystalline effects, relief and metallic reflections of the medallions.

Handle each medallion with care during installation.

MADE TO ORDER

When the piece is not currently available in stock, MIA – Earthy is made especially for you.

The process includes shaping each medallion by hand, allowing the clay to dry completely, an initial firing, glazing, a second high-temperature firing, and finally assembling the piece with its gold-tone rings.

This process gives the clay and glazes the time they need to develop their full strength, depth and individual character.
