A sculptural tray with copper, bronze and deep brown reflections, somewhere between decorative object and functional piece.

Molten was imagined as a piece suspended between decorative object and functional sculpture.

Made from speckled stoneware, this sculptural tray stands out with its wavy edges and rich metallic glaze, inspired by aged copper, oxidized metal and molten materials.

Depending on the light, the surface reveals golden, bronze, rust and deep brown nuances. The reflections shift, move across the reliefs and give the piece an almost living presence.

Molten can be used as:

– a small sculptural centerpiece

Even when empty, it fully exists. Placed on a table, console, shelf or bedside table, it brings texture, warmth and a subtle light to the space.

Each piece is individually shaped and glazed in my studio in Portugal. The glaze reactions make every Molten unique, with variations in reflections, texture and movement that can never be reproduced exactly.

Molten can hold jewelry, keys, a candle or small everyday objects, or simply remain empty as a decorative piece. It works especially well in warm, mineral, contemporary interiors or spaces with natural materials.
