The Sculpture Drapée Gold is one of Clay’Milie’s most emblematic pieces.

It is shaped like a suspended fragment of fabric, frozen in a soft, almost living movement. Its folds evoke ancient drapery, precious textiles and materials transformed by light the moment it touches them.

Here, clay becomes textile. It folds, stretches, falls, catches shadows and gives the wall an immediately sculptural presence.

The Gold glaze reveals bronze, golden and deep reflections, with a surface rich in variations. Depending on the light, the piece changes: sometimes warm and luminous, sometimes darker, almost mineral. Each fold becomes an area of reflection, depth or tension.

This sculpture was designed as a statement piece, but an elegant one. It catches the eye quietly, brings texture to an empty wall and transforms a space by its presence alone.

STYLING SUGGESTIONS

Natural light, a wall light or side lighting will reveal the richness of the folds and golden reflections.

HANDMADE NOTE

Each sculpture is individually shaped in my studio. The drape is created by hand, without a mold or mechanical reproduction, which makes every movement different.

The bronze and golden reflections depend on the glaze, the firing process and the light. No piece can be reproduced identically: this is what makes every Sculpture Drapée Gold truly unique.
