The Sculpture Drapée Leather is a ceramic wall piece shaped in a textile-like movement, like a drape frozen just before falling.

Its folds evoke ancient fabrics, heavy textiles and soft materials slowly revealed by light. Here, clay takes on the appearance of suspended fabric: it dresses the wall, creates relief, catches shadows and brings an organic presence to the space.

The Leather glaze gives the sculpture a deep brown, semi-matte leather effect: understated, warm and textured. Depending on the light, the folds reveal darker nuances, soft reflections and an almost tactile surface.

This sculpture was designed as a quiet statement piece: a wall object that brings texture, movement and character without overpowering the space.

STYLING SUGGESTIONS

Install it alone on a wall as a statement piece, or within a larger wall composition.

It works especially well in a living room, entryway, bedroom, office, hotel, spa or interior with natural materials: wood, stone, linen, leather, limewash or polished concrete.

Side lighting or soft light will highlight the folds, shadows and leather-effect texture.

HANDMADE NOTE

Each sculpture is individually shaped in my studio. The drape is created by hand, without mechanical reproduction, which makes every movement different.

The finishing nuances, reliefs and depth of the leather effect may vary slightly from one creation to another.
